The UNGC is a strategic initiative that supports global companies that are committed to responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and corruption. HLB has been a member of the UNGC since 2022 and strives to create an inclusive society where human rights and labor are respected.
The UN SDGs were adopted as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. HLB discloses its implementation activities to achieve SDGs in ESG reports and strives to fulfill its responsibilities as a corporate citizen in the environment and social sector.
CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for investors, companies, cities and governments to assess their impact and take urgent action to build a truly sustainable economy. HLB has been participating in CDP since 2023 and continues its efforts to reduce carbon and expand renewable energy.
The TCFD is a global organization formed by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to develop a set of recommended climate-related disclosures to better inform investors, shareholders and the public of their climate-related financial risks. HLB declared its support for TCFD in 2023 and is working to preemptively respond to the climate-related disclosure standards of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
The TNFD was established by UN Development Program (UNDP) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to deliver a risk management and disclosure framework to enable organizations to report nature-related risks. HLB declared its support for TNFD in 2023 and plans to continue to expand its biodiversity campaign at the group level.
The WEPs are a set of Principles offering guidance to business established by UN Women and UNGC on how to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community. HLB joined WEPs in 2023 and is working on a system to develop policies to expand the ratio of female managers and increase opportunities for female registered directors to participate in the board.
