The Sejong City Cultural Foundation, launched on November 29, 2016, is a funded organization operating under Sejong Special Self-Governing City, and is located in Eojin-dong, Sejong Special Self-Governing City. The foundation is dedicated to promote culture and the arts by expanding opportunities for citizens to enjoy them. With COVID-19 limiting cultural experiences, it is committed to revitalizing local artists and cultural activities.
The Hankyung Philharmonic Orchestra, established in September 2015, stands as Korea's first private orchestra. Created by the Korea Economic Daily, it embarked on a 'Youth Concert' tour, traversing rural and fishing cities nationwide, to present classical music, and holds regular performances such as the New Year Concert, Patriotic Veterans Concert, Fall Concert, and Year-End Concert. In total, we are actively carrying out cultural and artistic activities under the slogan ‘Bridge between economy and culture’ through over 30 performances per year. HLB remains committed to supporting and revitalizing local community culture and arts through continued sponsorship.
Established in 2003, the Millennium Symphony Orchestra stands as a purely private symphony orchestra dedicated to the promotion of classical music through various symphonies, opera performances, and special performances. Since 2008, the Daul (All Together) project has been planned for the globalization of Korean music and they have been playing a role in promoting Korean music to the world through orchestra, the international language of music. HLB plans to continue working to revitalize local community culture and arts through continued sponsorship.
The Green Umbrella Children's Foundation is a specialized child welfare organization that has been entrusted with the government's sponsorship project since 1981. It supports 347 child welfare facilities and children from low-income families with pledged donations. It operates six nationwide child protection agencies commissioned by the government and provides counseling, therapy, prevention awareness campaigns, temporary protection for abused children, and other related services for abused children. The Green Umbrella Santa Expedition is a nationwide campaign launched by the children's foundation in 2007. It receives Christmas wishes from underprivileged children and provides various gifts fulfilling those wishes. As part of this campaign, HLB Healthcare Division is supporting the health of vulnerable children in blind spots of welfare due to COVID-19 by providing masks.
